Explain and investigate tidal patterns between the Isle of Man and Ireland and the Western Isles and from Orkney to the South west of Scotland from Wigtown Bay through Luce Bay and into Loch Ryan. How do these impact on landing places across this coast and how have they changed over the course of documented time.

Understanding the question
The idea is to compare and contrast factors that would impact on the ability to traverse and navigate this stretch of water and if any apparent can be established to show a pattern going back 700 plus years.
Is there anything going back in history that would prevent these tidal patterns from being the same for example.
Landing places have been identified all around this area of coast ( little coves). ( this can be sent on to you). Use of tidal charts and an explanation of their use is also required. Use of older maritime maps is also required.
