Fill out the checklist and add it to the paper! This week you begin to work on your Virtual Field Experience (VFE™) Analysis, which is the final piece of Learning Outcomes Project: Curriculum Project.
Choose one of the VFEs™ in Grand City University’s College of Education to view or review. This may be the same classroom you viewed in Week 2, or you may choose a different scenario.
Use your curriculum audit checklist to write a 5- to 6-page paper in which you evaluate the teaching and learning. In your paper, respond to the following:
Explain any teaching techniques or practices in the scenario that demonstrate a learner-centered approach.
Explain any opportunities you see to create a more learner-centered experience. Include the following:
Learner-centered strategies that should be included in the scenario
An explanation of how assessment of and for learning might be incorporated
A description of how you might incorporate technology to enhance student learning
Suggest professional development that would benefit the teacher in the scenario and help him/her move toward more learner-centered teaching practices.
