Malcolm X once said, “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” As a teacher, it is critical that you take on the attitude of a learner, seeking to stay current in your profession, and continually seek out new research to support best practices.
In a 1-2 page paper, reflect on the importance of staying current in research and best practices. Why is it important for teachers to stay current in research and best practices? What is the result of staying current? What are your plans to continually learn as a teacher?
