Part of this course represents technology affecting human resources. Therefore, each student is required to write a 6 – 7-page research paper reflecting the effect of technology on current human resource practices. Papers must include 2 to 3 examples of technical advances with sufficient detail that answer the following questions as they relate to each example:
1. What is the new technology?
2. How does the technology impact current human-resource practices (as compared to previous HR practice based on older technology)? (Note: You can focus on a HR function [e.g., selection, compensation] rather than a more general practice if this helps you.)
3. How does the new technology add value to an organization?
4. What are some advantages and disadvantages of the new technology?
