Identify one possible initiative; it may be a specific program or a service you plan to offer, or even a product you plan to sell.Write a letter to the board of directors of your organization, describing in brief what the initiative is, how it is connected to your mission statement, and most importantly how you plan to measure the success of this initiative. Make your pitch to the board as compelling as possible, explaining how success in this program translates to supporting the mission statement. When describing the performance assessment of this initiative, be sure to distinguish between what are outputs of the initiative and what are outcomes.
