Description

This is a college admission statement, the question is “Please describe how you have prepared for your intended major, including your readiness to succeed in your upper-division courses once you enroll at the university.Things to consider: How did your interest in your major develop? Do you have any experience related to your major outside of the classroom — such as volunteer work, internships and employment, or participation in student organizations and activities? If you haven’t had experience in the field, consider including experience in the classroom. This may include working with faculty or doing research projects. ” I am a biology major at a community college. I want to include in the answer that as a preparation to the upper-division classes, I’ve completed all the lower-division prerequisites for my major. Please also include that I was planning to start a research project with my biology instructor at my community college this summer (Summer 2020) but because of the COVID pandemic, the research project was canceled, therefore I started looking for independent studies and found a project that Harvard Med and edX were offering called “Musculoskeletal cases”. Additionally, I’ve participated in webinars and workshops about biochemistry and environmental science.
