Pick THREE dating techniques discussed in this week’s readings. Tell me (using your own words) if it is a relative or absolute dating technique; what environmental conditions are required for the technique to be effective (i.e. must be in a rainy climate or only works with cave soil or only works on organic material less than 50,000 years old); what types of materials can be dated using this technique. Then go online and find one example (for each of the three techniques) and describe the effectiveness and the rationale for choosing this dating technique.
