Identify the person to whom the quote is attributed. Not only give the person’s name but also give biographical details about who the person was and his or her significance in society and/or history. An important part of the writing assignment is a biography of the person being quoted.
What is the context of the quote? When and where was the quote said? It is possible that you will not be able to find the exact original place of publication. In that case, simply say so.
What is the meaning of the quote? What did the speaker intend; what do you think it means?

Create an MLA citation that indicates your source(s) for the information you use for each quotation. If you use more than one source there should be more than one citation and be certain to put on the Works Cited page only those sources to which you refer in the paper.
