Part 2: Write an essay comparing and contrasting your artist/artwork selections

Instructions:

Using the artworks you selected in Part 1 of the Virtual Museum Assignment, you will write an essay comparing and contrasting both works by following the Content Topic Outline below.

Start with main concepts and then move to relevant details to compare and contrast the two chosen works. (Remember to state the obvious.)

Research and Observation: Use information from the museum site and your own analysis. Write in your own words; if you copy from another source you will not receive credit. All submissions are run through TurnItIn prior to grading. If you do not find enough information on the museum site, use the internet for content and context information. Cite your Sources. You can use any citation format you prefer (MLA, APA, etc).

Review previous lessons to make sure you understand what to write about. Review the topic terms in your glossary list. Use complete sentences and make sure your information fits the topic.

Each topic becomes a short paragraph separated by a line space. Make sure you do the topics in the order below. Cover what you think is most important in each topic.

On the top left hand corner or center of your paper, indicate your name, artist and artwork names, and present date.

Save your essay as a Microsoft Word File or PDF. No other File formats are accepted for this assignment. Essays submitted in other file formats will NOT receive credit as they cannot be opened and read in D2L

This will be graded with the Museum Assignment rubric.
