Be sure to set out, for each example, (a) what the crisis was, (b) what the response to the crisis was, and (c) why you believe this would be a valuable/relevant means of response to a contemporary crisis.
Of these three modes of response, discuss which approach you believe offers the most useful advice in confronting a contemporary crisis. This part of the essay is asking you to develop a persuasive argument for you position, i.e. what do you believe is the most valuable of the three approaches? Why do you believe that? What might be a weakness with that approach? Why do you continue to believe it works best in responding to a contemporary crisis?
