1. Review, apply and analyse psychological science to aid understanding of patients’ needs and provide therapeutic support.
2. Examine the application of communication science, protocols & guidelines regarding challenging communication scenarios.
3. Present their work appropriately for an academic audience applying accepted conventions.
4. Demonstrate NMC competencies to meet the requirements of progression Part 2 and essential care skills required for practice, against the NMC Domains: Communication and Interpersonal skills and Leadership, Management and Team working.
For this module there are two summative assessments: Task 1 which will provide a mark for the module and Task 2, completion of the OAR which is a pass/fail assessment.
