studies (the specific topic to be agreed with the lecturer). Citing relevant texts,
the essay should describe, analyze and assess the main uses of, and issues
relating to, the concept, as well as consider how the concept relates to the
question of journalism as a distinct social field/communicative practice that is
shaped by and shaping of the four institutional fields of public life (state, market,
politics and civil society) as well as changes in the media system (institutions,
technologies and symbolic forms).
