You will choose two countries, either from the same realm or from two different realms. You will compare and contrast the environment, culture, politics, history, religion, climate, and geology in your two chosen countries. The comparative study of the two countries will enable you to understand the spatial and temporal differences in their politics and environment, the diversity of their cultures, and the variety in their history and religion.

Course objectives covered in this project include CO 1, CO 2, CO 3, CO 4, CO 5

GENERAL PLAN
Part One—Outline
The outline is the foundation of your research paper, and you will use it to develop your final project submission at the end of the semester. It is a tool that provides a structure to follow to include all of the relevant information in a clearly organized format.

A quality outline can make writing your research paper more efficient by helping to:

Organize your thoughts.
Understand the flow of information and how ideas are related.
Ensure that nothing is forgotten.

For a successful and high-quality research paper, the more detailed the outline, the better the paper will be at the end.

The outline for the research paper will consist of the following main parts:

Title page
Introduction
Body
Preliminary background research
Preliminary observations
Conclusions
Preliminary references

Part Two—Paper
Using your outline, write an effective and comprehensive research paper that compares and contrasts information about any two countries from either the same realm or from two different realms. The information should relate to the countries’ environments, cultures, politics, histories, religions, climates, and geologies. Highlight the similarities and differences between the two countries, which may or may not be diametrically opposed to each other.

The paper should have the following items in this order:

Title page: Title of the paper, author’s name, TESU course code and session, and date of submission.

Abstract (without any references, pictures, or paragraphs): Develop a 150- to 250-word paragraph that provides an overview of the research paper and its organization. Your abstract should express the central idea and key points of the comparison and contrast between your two chosen countries.

Introduction of the topic

Background research: Include a review of the environments, cultures, politics, histories, religions, climates, and geologies of the two countries that you are comparing and contrasting.

Observations: Compare and contrast your observations of the two countries’ environments, cultures, politics, histories, religions, climates, and geological conditions. The factual observations can be derived from resources that are no more than five years old and are affiliated to reputed governmental or non-profit organizations.

Conclusions: Based on the detailed observations made in the previous section, draw inferences or conclusions on the two countries’ diversity in culture, history, religion, climate, and geology. Provide a rich comparative analysis between the two countries.

References page

Your paper should be 1250 to 1925 words (5 to 7 pages, double-spaced) and should be presented in APA style with appropriately referenced graphics and citations. At a minimum, you must include three outside sources in your paper.
