How are learners involved in the educational management process?

In education, the term stakeholder typically refers to anyone who is invested in the welfare and success of a school and its students, including administrators, teachers, staff members, students, parents, families, community members, local business leaders, and elected officials such as school board members, city councilors, and state representatives (Education Reform, 2014). A learner can help a student process and develop skills that will help them in their careers. The stakeholders play an important role in managing schools. They are the partners of the school leaders in making the schools conducive to teaching and learning. They are also responsible for the achievement of the learning outcomes through their active participation in school activities, programs, and projects (Sunstar, 2018). Learners can be considered internal stakeholders when it comes to education.

Stakeholders are individuals or groups who have an interest or concern for the school. Thus, a healthy relationship between the teachers and stakeholders is important, as this will enable everybody to harmoniously work together, which will have a positive impact on the students (BusinessMirror, 2018). As stated by McMahon (2019) In the education policy world, stakeholders are our way of lumping together every person affected by the education system into one easy word. It encompasses governors, state board chairs, legislators, superintendents, school board members, principals, teachers, parents, and students—not to mention the public at large.

Which leadership style or styles do you think will work best when working with learners, either as an adult learner instructor, a teacher-leader or as an administrative leader? Why?

Being a transformational leader means you are able to inspire, motivate, show morals, and have a great performance. Transformational leadership is defined as a leadership approach that causes a change in individuals and social systems. In its ideal form, it creates valuable and positive change in the followers with the end goal of developing followers into leaders (Transformational leadership, n.d.)

As a leader, what tools can you use to help learners develop their self-management capabilities, such as reflective practice?

Having students create a checklist, make a goal checklist, be able to be flexible, letting students know things can change like seating arraignments. Allowing students to check things off the classroom checklist keeps students accountable. Using tools like flashcards, sticky notes, chalkboards, notes books, and other things also helps students develop a reflective state this allows students to write and keep track of thoughts and school work. Self-management allows students to follow through on plans to complete assignments, study for tests, and stay focused in class. In adults, it is critical to reaching goals related to learning or life, like developing a new professional skill or achieving a goal (Miller, 2016).
