Proposal to become a paperless business
Write a proposal to a managing partner of a large multinational law firm as to how implement change in that law firm to become a paperless business and hence to make meaningful reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and promotes adaptation to climate change.
The proposal should make a case for the innovation of changing the law firm into a paperless company, both on the basis of key business metrics and on the basis of environmental and social benefits that will result.
The proposal should include the following components:
1. Describe the threat of continuing to use paper. Describe the quantitative dimensions of the opportunity to go paperless, as well as the qualitative motivations as they resonate with the core values that drive the decision of change to paperless environment. Describe a change in climate governance that has created an opportunity for the law firm to become paperless.
Start with a specific problem statement about how the legal industry contributes to climate change by using too much paper. This section needs to make a compelling case for why the law firm should become paperless.
2. Describe and assess the costs and benefits of becoming paperless, site research on what peers are doing. Your estimates of costs and benefits should be as detailed as possible without months of technical study.
3. Provide project timeline of implementation and key outcome metrics.
