Lesson Plan
Complete the lesson plan template (attachment) and place it in the appendix of the paper. Ensure to complete each section of the lesson plan template which includes:
Title for the learning activity.
A description of the learning activity.
Learning objective.
Learning outcomes – construct 4 measurable learner outcomes to support the achievement of the learning objective using Bloom’s Taxonomy
Topic outline
Identify teaching strategies to be employed (lecture, PPT presentation)
Identify student engagement activity (discussion, simulation, case study)
Identify evaluation methods (formative and/or summative)
Identify instructional resources.
In the body of the paper introduce the lesson plan. Discuss:
The relevance of Bloom’s Taxonomy in constructing the learning outcomes.
The learning domains addressed (cognitive, psychomotor, and affective)
Place a “call out” in your paper directing the reader to the appendix to review the lesson plan.
Personal Teaching Philosophy
Create a personal teaching philosophy statement by analyzing factors that you perceive to be important components of effective teaching.
Discuss:
Beliefs – what do you believe about instructing or teaching (assumptions about teaching and learning)?
Value – what are your values as a teacher?
Intentions – what do you want to accomplish in your instruction or teaching (goals for students)?
Actions – what approaches and methods do you perceive to promote effective teaching?
Citing sources: individuals and resources utilized to shape your teaching philosophy.
