Steps:
1. Select one artwork that you find compelling from smarthistory.org (https://smarthistory.org)/textbook. You may choose any piece from any section, though new to art history that you choose a piece that has enough stuff going on for you to easily describe.
2. Using either Microsoft Word or Google Docs:
-Write a formal analysis of your chosen artwork.
-Having written your formal analysis, do you now have any questions about the piece? Did you learn something interesting? Did you come up with your own interpretation of the piece?
-Make sure your analysis is in your own words. Don’t worry about trying to sound fancy. Be clear and write in complete sentences, but let your unique voice shine through.
-Assignment needs to be 500-700 words, double spaced, 12 point font.
