Oral Presentation: Scientific findings are using communicated through journal articles, poster or oral presentations. For your homeostatic imbalance, you will communicate your findings using an oral presentation.
In order to be successful, you will need to demonstrate the following characteristics; you should be enthusiastic about your topic, be able to establish a good rapport with your audience, present well-organized information that leaves the listener satisfied that they understand more than they did before and have visuals that are simple and legible and help the listener to focus on the important points.
The oral presentation and PowerPoint should contain the following information.
1. Title slide with a catchy and interesting title and your name.
2. Introduction that captures the attention of the listener, provides background information on the subject and identifies the purpose of the oral presentation.
3. Description of the normal anatomy and physiology of the body system affected by the disease.
4. Description of the pathophysiology (i.e. what is not working properly within the body system affected by the disease) of the disease.
5. Brief explanation of the symptoms, causes and treatment of the disease.
6. Summary of the topic that states conclusions and provides a take-home message for the listeners.
7. References slide containing a minimum of five references from five different sources. The references must follow CSE format. These references can be the same ones that you used in writing your paper.
