In the midterm, you were asked to advice President-Elect M. Bobinson on short-term policies to address the COVID crisis. Thankfully, vaccines have been developed and (hopefully) the end is in sight.
However, some serious work will have to be done to rebuild the American economy. Pick a policy that is important to the American economy (criminal justice reform, healthcare, unemployment, climate crisis, financial instability, student loan debt, etc.) and present a long-term policy plan for the new Commander-in-Chief.
What issue are you addressing? What about the current state of affairs is unsustainable and/or harmful? Who will pay for it? Who will benefit from the policy change? Who may lose out? What are the long-term consequences?
