Drawing on your previous case study work, you’re going to use this week’s assignment to propose a social media strategy that capitalizes on the widespread use of multiple screens. You’re going to build your brand’s strategy around some shared event  it could be a big nationwide affair like the Super Bowl, or something smaller like a television show, or something non-media like a festival (Coachella or your local jazz festival). You’ll need to identify a brand as well, and you’ll play the role of their social media director for this event.

Section 1: Identify your brand and their existing social media presence. How important is mobile communication to the brand? Identify the event you’ll connect your brand with. (5 pts)

Section 2 & 3: Propose two social media platforms (one per section) you could mobilize to engage participants with your brand during this event. Be very specific about how you’d do this, including sample posts with hashtags, times of day, connections to other users, and why you made the choices you did. Don’t just say use Twitter,” show us a comprehensive listing of the tweets you’d make, when, how, and why you’d make them. (10 pts per section)

Section 4: What happens next? You have the potential to pick up new and interested audience members from your campaign. What will you do to keep them engaged after the event ends, and how can this campaign inform your longer-term mobile strategy? (5 pts)
