How does parental participation in early childhood education affect children’s academic success?

The involvement of parents in children’s early childhood has no significant relationship with how well children perform in academics.

What valid and reliable instrument would you use to collect your data?

From the research question, the most valid and reliable instrument for collecting data would be a questionnaire.

The questions would be designed to measure the involvement of a parent in early childhood education and a standardized assessment to evaluate the children’s prowess in their academics.

Describe the research design that you selected for your study.

The best research design for this study would be the quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group.

This design involves two groups of children, that is, a group that would act as the control group and the other a group that would get the parental involvement intervention.

To evaluate the research question, both groups would need to take two tests, the pretest and the posttest (Rogers & Revesz, 2020).

With the results of the two tests, a correlation can be established between parents’ involvement in early childhood education and the children’s academic prowess. The advantage of this research design is that it allows researchers to compare the changes in an experimental group to the changes in the control group over time.

How would your proposed study promote God’s kingdom?

Promoting God’s Kingdom is an aspect that involves our day-to-day interaction with one another. With this in mind, the proposed study would promote God’s Kingdom as it involves encouraging parents’ involvement in raising their children, which is consistent with the biblical teachings of parents’ responsibility in raising their children in the ways of the Lord (King James Version Bible, 2008, Ephesians. 6:4).

When a parent participates in their children early childhood education, the children get to learn critical thinking abilities which play a huge role in advancing the Kindom of God as they attain the ability to make good judgments. The children would grow to become good members of society, spreading the gospel to those without a better understanding of the Kingdom of God.
