Think of many of life’s big decisions, purchases, interactions, or milestones (ie. buying a house with a broker or agent, hiring a financial advisor, having an accountant perform your taxes, being an employee for a company) and state one that stands out to you. Can you identify the “agency” relationship? Explain the type of agency. Why do you think agents owe a fiduciary duty to their principals in this particular circumstance?
