Sometimes we can struggle to see the connection between formal assessments and the work they are preparing us for. Teachers are often asked: “Why are we learning this?” Sometimes, even physical fitness tests might feel this way! You might be training for the PARE wondering when you will even need to run an obstacle course in under four minutes on the job. However, remember that the physical readiness tests have been carefully prepared to demonstrate necessary on-the-job skills.
