Discuss What is the state-of-the-art that will be advanced by this study?

AC1: The paper would benefit from more detail and precision. We want to know precisely what happened in this specific observation. How were the observations actually performed with the chosen telescope and instrument? What was the sensitivity/resolution/etc. needed, and how did it compare to the actual strength of the signal observed in the data?

AC4: The paper should include some more background about the motivation and ultimate goals for this work. What are the scientists trying to achieve?

AC5: The paper should include more discussion of the greater context of the observations. What is the state-of-the-art that will be advanced by this study?

CS4: Be sure to aim the level of the paper at its intended audience, which is another student in the course who has a working knowledge of the basics of astronomy. The paper at the moment introduces some fundamental concepts that are a bit too basic as they will already be familiar to the audience.

LP1: The paper should include section headings to help clarify the organization.

LP2: Be sure to include references in the format as described in the assignment sheet: e.g., papers should be cited as (Name, Year) and references to web sites should be included as footnotes.

LP3: Be sure to include references from actual journal articles as well as web sources.

LP4: The paper would benefit from more complete references. Any idea or concept that is not your own should be clearly cited, and any direct quotes must be clearly in quotation marks.

LP8: In the final version, be sure to include an abstract.
