Discuss Is there any correlation between attendance and on-ice success in “non-traditional” hockey markets like the Arizona Coyotes and Florida Panthers?

Description

Below is my capstone topic, as well as thesis questions and overall notes: Capstone Topic: NHL’s team performance vs. On-Ice Success. Is relocation a true answer for a struggling team? Thesis Questions: 1. Over the past 5 NHL seasons, is there any correlation between all 31 team’s attendance and on-ice success (winning percentage/team performance in the overall league standings)? 2. Is there any correlation between attendance and on-ice success in “non-traditional” hockey markets like the Arizona Coyotes and Florida Panthers? 3. If there is a pattern of poor attendance as well as poor on-ice success (winning percentage/team performance in the overall league standings, should the NHL consider relocating that team to a new city in order to boost attendance and performance issues? 4. Does relocating a struggling NHL team to Quebec, Canada make sense for both the league and the city of Quebec? Note the NHL use to have a team called the Quebec Nordiques but they were relocated to Colorado in the 1990s.
