Employee Engagement
This assignment requires you to research, develop and prepare a program that will enhance employee engagement within an organization.
Assume that you are a member of a Human Resources team within an organization. Your team has identified an initiative/topic that you truly believe will be a positive contribution to the organization, in terms of elevating employee engagement.
You will prepare a written report describing the proposal. Your submission must be polished and professional impressing on your management team how this initiative will enhance the culture in the organization and improve the level of employee engagement. Use your influencing, persuading and negotiating skills to convince your executive of the potential positive results of “going with the program” you are proposing.
Bravo Program (recognizing employees who go above and beyond)
1.What is proposed and how you believe it will it improve employee engagement?
2.Why is this program important?
3.What are the advantages/disadvantages and the benefits/costs of the proposed program? (While you may not be able to determine the exact costs and benefits of your proposed program, please do your best to provide realistic numbers.)
4.What are the implementation plans – the plans for development and delivery (the how, who, what, where and why questions)?This is the final step – you are looking for the ‘stamp’ of approval at this point.
5.Be sure to include how you plan to bring employees on board with the proposal. (include how you plan to overcome the resistance that comes with change)
6.Assume that you are presenting to a higher level of management – extract the “meat” or “cream” from several other sources – to communicate to the listeners the key points about the topic.
