Examine the ways in which judicial diversity has been encouraged and assess whether there is still further work that needs to be done to achieve full diversity in the courts.

Coursework Question
“The law, the legal profession and the courts are there to serve the whole population, not just a small section of it. They should be as reflective of that population as it is possible to be.”
Discuss the extent to which you agree with the statement above. The judicial diversity statistics published on 12 July 2018 show that 29% of court judges in England and Wales are female. Examine the ways in which judicial diversity has been encouraged and assess whether there is still further work that needs to be done to achieve full diversity in the courts.

please could you consult a range of sources from places like westlaw uk/ lexis/ google scholar (i.e. books, journals, articles, case law, legislation etc) and reference them throughout, using “OSCOLA” format please.*
i have also attached all the lectures for this topic that the uni taught. Obviously not all lectures attached will necessarily relate to the relevant points needed to be made for this question, but I would greatly appreciate if you could just quickly scan through them all to make sure that whichever ones that are relevant to use (lecture content) match the content in the paper, just so that the content mentioned is that of what I’ve been taught. Obviously these are just the lecture powerpoints without the lecturer developing on from each slide but they are the main gist anyways. Especially the judiciary lecture which is the one that talks about diversity, if you could perhaps focus your research/content off that lecture for the Judicial diversity, second part of the question, then that would be great and then whatever else you think could be included, I would greatly appreciate.
i hope you have no problem assessing the files i’ve attached to you, but if so please let me know.
