– Historical basis of the problem when did it start and why, what are societies view on the issue?
– Correction of the problem (Is anything being done? If so, what is being done? Who is doing it, individuals, groups, governments, or societies? Is it sufficient or is more needed? Are there other possible solutions?
-Think outside the box, how would you solve the issue? Think about idealistic verses realistic solutions? What are some cultural or societal hurdles to your solution? What will it take to make it happen? Will individuals or society have to give something up to fix the problem)
– Advantages to correcting the problem (why correct the issue? Why should we do it a particular way?
What are the immediate consequences and long-term consequences if no correction is made? What are the benefits to society and individuals)
– Disadvantages to correcting the problem (Why not leave the problem alone? What are the consequences to other parts of the environment if the correction is made? By solving this problem are we creating another one? What possible negative effects does correcting the problem have? Will some groups, individuals, industries be harmed/ disadvantaged through your solution? Is it worth it?)
