• By whom?

• What were the initial goals of the organization, network or movement?

• Did the goals evolve over time?

• What kind of tactics does the organization utilize?

• When do they choose one tactic over another?

• Who is the main target of the organization/network/movement?

Be specific in providing this information.

c. Choose a specific campaign/policy this group worked on. d. Give background information about the campaign/policy:

• What is the issue?

• Who is affected by the issue, positively or negatively?

• Who is causing the problem according to the group?

• What is the goal of the organization to resolve the issue?

• What kind of tactics are they utilizing in this campaign/policy?

• Was/is the campaign successful? If yes, how and why? What defines the success?

• If no, what stands in the way of their success? What defines failure?

Given your chosen issue and group, analyze this organization’s position in global civil society and how they have helped shape or influence anything of fundamental impact in society as a non-state actor.
