Assignment 1. Russia Exit.

Your multi billion dollar, US company has global operations and is publicly traded. It includes factories in Europe, Asia, U.S. and South America.

You have a sales force of 50 people in the Ukraine. You also have business in Russia which constitutes approximately 3% of your annual revenues.

The Russia business includes a manufacturing center, sales, distribution and after market service in Russia. 500 people in total.

The manufacturing center relies on a supply chain much of which is outside of Russia. The product manufactured in Russia is solely for the Russian and Ukrainian market.

The products are commercial fire safety systems which require twice a year service for safety purposes.They are installed mainly in residential apartments and condos.

The service business is profitable. Pre-war, the overall business was growing with new orders increasing 7-10% annually. Employees are very loyal to the company which has operated for over 50 years in both Ukraine and Russia.

Putin has launched a war on Ukraine.

The CEO sends you an email:
