The Proposal is an opportunity for students to showcase their comprehension of business writing methods and their ability to pitch their analytics use case to an internal technical audience. Proposals must include:
• Introduction (Description/Background): prepare a cogent synthesis of the need for the proposal
• Challenge/Opportunity: offer necessary details of the organization by appropriately framing the problem; include a footnote to briefly identify the organization and its mission/purpose
• Rationale: explain your solution, articulating how these ideas can be applied to said particular need and why this solution will work
• Cost Analysis: identify cost, resources required, and expected Return on Investment (quantitative and/or qualitative)
• Assessment: describe how the project will be evaluated both immediately and over time
• Conclusion: include a clear and complete call to action
