Statement of Purpose (Industrial Engineering)
Provide the answer to all the questions below when need for writing of the Statement of purpose.
1- Purpose:
Why do you want to study a X?
Why do you want to study this particular course- don’t over explain just 2 sentences (research base) what are you research interest
What type of knowledge or skills do you hope to gain through this program?
What do you want to do after completion of the program? (job, research, academia, start a business ( career goals right after school, 5- career goals within 5-10 years and why?)
2- Past experience
What and what kind and how much past experience do you have? (Teaching, work and etc. )
If you do already have work experience, what else are you trying to learn
Why did you choose your undergrad? and what did you learn during your undergraduate degree? (5 most important classes, Professor’s name, 1 sentence to explain you professor, what you did and what you learned from that class)
3- Program (VERY IMPORTANT)
Why did you choose X country ?
Why at this particular university?
Why this particular course?
How are you going to contribute to the program?
Does the department have a certain research methodology that you like? or is there a certain part of a curriculum that appeals to you?
Is there a specific professor you like? (If topic professor needed, inform us to email them first)

What makes you unique?
How do you think you fit into the program?
