Part I on the cultural legacy of Ghana (this is your Part I). You will also do Part II (overview of African Americans in the US now and their mental health challenges/opportunities). For this Part II, you will discuss two cultural rituals relevant to this community (African Americans in the US now).
For Part III, you will discuss 6 major adaptations that counselors would have to keep in mind in order to provide culturally competent counseling to this population. You can find these in the textbook assigned to the class or in the open sources I included in the syllabus for the class. Make sure to apply at least 4 peer reviewed journals (from 2010 to present time). Strictly follow APA publication guidelines.
